Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been won on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player secured his maiden trophy for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult period, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in particular - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with long-term mentor Cervara.
Now training with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's first championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt after that period of that year.
Victory also means the Russian has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one various competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters together, so to win a championship is especially meaningful," said ranked player the champion.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six championship matches, featuring in that event earlier this year.
The player's retrieving play style and frequent reactions on the playing surface had led some to question if his ability to compete at the elite level was concluded.
However the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and compete positively, supported by an improved serving game.
He came back from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, securing four of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his first ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to push for a decider.
Moutet defended 4 early-game chances in a competitive third set before the champion won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he secured the title with a shot at the net, with his opponent incapable to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
