Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
